April HSCN

posted Mar 27, 2015, 12:45 PM by Justin Birckbichler
There will be three HSCNs in April:

- Tuesday, April 7, 2015 will be a Math Night. We will cover decimals (which had been taught in the first advisory) and review what will be on the benchmark.

- Thursday, April 16, 2015 will be a Reading Night. I will determine what the emphasis will be on after analyzing the results of the benchmark.

- Tuesday, April 21, 2015 will be another Math Night. We will discuss concepts about whole numbers (which had been taught in the first advisory.)

I hope to see you at these workshops. For each night you attend, your child will be invited to join me in the classroom during lunch later in the week to watch a kid-friendly movie on Netflix. The time will be from 7:00-8:00 in my classroom. On each night, please use the main doors to the building. They will be unlocked at 6:45.

I will be offering child care for each night. If you choose to bring your child or children, he/she will be working on IXL or Mr. Nussbaum Online Reading Comprehension activities with Mrs. Burke in her classroom. Feel free to bring children of all ages.

These sessions will again be broadcast live on YouTube. I highly encourage you to attend. It can truly make the difference in your child's learning. We had a great turnout at HSCNs in the past! Please RSVP online at http://goo.gl/forms/X2mRz1M9ca or on this paper by Monday, April 6, 2015.

Thank you,
Mr. Justin Birckbichler
